    5 photographs taken during the first overseas presentation of a Faraday Lecture in Malaya in June 1956. The lecture was 'Courier to Carrier in Communications', and was referrred to in the IEE's annual report for 1956-57 which said the following; "The first presentation of a Faraday Lecture overseas occured during the year when Mr T B D Terroni's lecture 'Courier to Carrier in Communications' was delivered some 20 times to audiences in Malaya and in Singapore. The lecture was presented on behalf of Mr Terroni by Mr Dennis Smith, Associate Member. Much of the apparatus was made locally and many physical difficulties had to be overcome in presenting the lecture. The Council take this opportunity of recording their sincere appreciation of the work of all who took part in the venture." Descriptions of the 5 photographs, which can be found on their reverse, are as follows; 1. The official group. Back row: technicians.
